Facilities Technician
The Montshire seeks a knowledgeable problem-solver who will ensure that visitors, staff and volunteers have a safe, comfortable, clean and fully functional place to explore, learn and work while at the Montshire Museum. This position is a key member of the Montshire’s Facilities team, and works closely within and across departments to provide overall daily, weekly and seasonal care of the building, exhibits, grounds, furnishings, and equipment. This position mixes custodial, with general facility and grounds maintenance and repair functions.
Starting wage: $18.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Education Program Manager- STEM Education Specialist
The Montshire seeks an enthusiastic and engaging individual with a strong background in informal science education, chemistry and physics to serve as Education Program Manager - STEM Education Specialist. This position is a member of the Montshire’s Science Education Team and serves as the programmatic lead for the development, delivery, evaluation and administrative coordination of school-aged STEM programs (K-8) at the Montshire.
Salary: $45,000 – 49,000 depending on education, skills and experience.
Finance and Grants Assistant
The Finance & Grants Assistant is a member of the Montshire Museum of Science’s central administrative team and provides bookkeeping and administrative support for finance and human resources activities, as well as for grant-funded projects. Core responsibilities include recording and categorizing daily payments, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and assisting with grant submission and contracting activities. Will also assist with select human resources record-keeping.
Starting wage: $23-25 per hour, depending on experience.
Visitor Service Associate
The Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich, Vermont seeks an enthusiastic and engaging individual with experience in customer service and/or not-for-profit cultural institutions to join our vibrant Visitor Services team as a Visitor Service Associate. This position is a member of the team responsible for greeting and orienting visitors; selling admissions, memberships, and merchandise from the museum store; providing general support for museum operations, and ensuring visitors have what they need to enjoy their time on the Montshire property.
Starting wage: $18.50/hour.
