Museum Hours

The Montshire is open 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm. All visitors are required to check in with their membership or pay admission prior to exploring the museum, Science Park, and trails.

The museum is OPEN on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. Administrative offices are closed.

The museum is CLOSED Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

General Admission

• $22 for adults
• $18 for children 2–17
• Free for members and children under 2 years of age.

The Montshire does not have reciprocity with other museums or institutions. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult when on museum property, including when shopping the museum store. Please refrain from visiting Science Park and the trails when the Museum is not open.

Warm Welcome

$3 admission for VT or NH residents with EBT card, adult Medicaid card, or free/reduced price school meals letter. Limit 6 visitors. Note that WIC, P-EBT and Dr. Dynasaur are not accepted, and an adult visitor must be named on the Medicaid card. Some restrictions apply.

Discounts

The Montshire Museum of Science is pleased to participate in the Blue Star Museum program.

Blue Star Museums is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of War and museums across America, offering free admission to the nation’s active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve, between May 15-September 6, 2027. ID is required.

Veterans qualify for a Military Discount of $2 off admission for themselves and everyone in their party. This discount is available all year and is not connected to the Blue Star Museum program. Please bring appropriate identification showing veteran status. Active duty military are also eligible for this discount after Labor Day when the Blue Star Museum designated timeframe closes.

Montshire Passbook

Montshire Passbooks contain 12 admission passes for $190. The passes have no expiration dates.
