Science Story Time: Butterflies

Have you seen the flutter of their wings? Let’s learn about the life cycle of a butterfly in the book: If You Like Butterflies by Lola M. Schaefer, and illustrated by Gabi Swiatkowska. Then, together with your little one, explore the transformation from a tender caterpillar to spiny chrysalis, and beyond! Discover butterfly anatomy, examine butterfly specimens, and make pollinator seed balls!

Join us for Science Story Time, an interactive learning experience for young children with their adult(s). Attendees will join a museum educator to discover exciting science topics through read-aloud picture books, conversations, and songs to develop early literacy skills. Get hands on with your little one as they get curious, experiment, look closely, and problem solve! What will you notice today?
