Homeschool, ages 12-15: Earth Science: Geology and Plate Tectonics

How do scientists study plate tectonics? Delve into global geology as we understand the science of, and data behind, plate tectonics. Use models to make predictions about moving plates and tectonic boundaries, reference a collection of maps and overlays, and explore the most tectonically active regions of the world from Hawai’i to the Marianas Trench. Get hands-on with the Montshire’s geology collection of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks to make connections with the rock cycle.

This course meets on six Tuesdays, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM
